The Francoli family distillery in Ghemme, Italy, has existed since 1875 and is one of the largest and most renowned distilleries in Piedmont. It was the first grappa distillery to produce grappa without harming the environment and ensures a CO2-neutral balance. The carbon dioxide emissions generated during distillation are compensated by corresponding reforestation of the tropical rainforest in Costa Rica. For example, the heat for the distillation process is obtained from vegetable fuels. In addition, the company participates in the "Impatto Zero" project and has acquired a protected area of 340,000 square meters in the forests of Costa Rica.

Luigi Francoli Grappa Rovere di Slavonia & Limousin is an exquisite blend of a three-year-old Nebbiolo grappa and eight-month-old Dolcetto and Moscato grappas. The aging first takes place for 26 months in Slovenian oak barrels, before the grappa is refined for another eight months in Limousin barriques.
