The Shin Blended Whisky is produced in Niigata, an important port city in Japan at the mouth of the Shinano River. Niigata is known for its three white treasures – snow, rice, and sake – and is a center of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The name "Shin" stands for integrity, a principle deeply rooted in the Samurai ethos and forming the basis for this whisky.

This whisky is created from a careful selection of malt and grain whiskies, matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. Under the guidance of Master Distiller Ken Usami, the whiskies are blended in a special Mizunara oak cask, a Japanese oak species that imparts a distinctive woody complexity and spicy aromas to the whisky. The whisky is bottled without artificial coloring, emphasizing its natural purity and authentic quality.
