Description
Blanton’s The Original Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey 46.5% ABV 0.7 l + GB is regarded as one of the pioneering bottlings within the single barrel bourbon category and is produced at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery. Each bottle comes from a single cask and is drawn exclusively from the coveted ‘Centre Cut’ of the famous Warehouse H – the warehouse that offers particularly consistent ageing conditions. Originally, these casks were intended solely for diplomats, dignitaries and close friends of Colonel Albert B. Blanton. However, Blanton’s has been officially available since 1984 and gained international renown as the ‘world’s first’ single barrel bourbon. It is supplied in a high-quality gift box, which further emphasises the collectable nature and special status of this bourbon.
With an alcohol content of 46.5 per cent by volume, Blanton’s Original is characterised by meticulous cask selection and traditional production methods, which are reflected in its enduring character. The combination of provenance, craftsmanship and single-barrel bottling makes this Kentucky Straight Bourbon a distinct, clearly defined category within American whiskies. It is ideal for enjoying neat or on the rocks, which allows its structure and barrel character to come to the fore. As a single barrel, each batch brings its own unique character, thus continuing the original philosophy of Colonel Blanton, who recognised the exceptional quality of individual casks from an early stage.
