Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 13.3 is the third and final release in the highly acclaimed 13 series, exemplifying the uncompromising philosophy of these legendary super-heavily peated whiskies. With an impressive phenol content of 129.3 ppm, this bottling is among the intensely smoky Islay whiskies, yet presents itself with exceptional balance and elegance. The distillation was carried out using 100% Scottish Concerto barley, harvested in 2015 and grown exclusively on the island of Islay. As a result, Edition 13.3 embodies Bruichladdich's authentic terroir concept and stands out as a true Islay Single Malt.

The five-year maturation takes place in a combination of American first-fill whisky casks and European second-fill oak casks, developing fascinating depth and complexity. It is particularly noteworthy that this edition – like its predecessors – is matured exclusively on Islay, allowing the maritime climate to have an unmistakable influence on the maturation. The bottling is done at cask strength with 61.1 % Vol., of course without chill filtration and without the addition of coloring agents, thus preserving the full intensity and purity of this whisky.
