The Champagne House Perrier-Jouët, founded in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and his wife Rose-Adélaide Jouët, is one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Champagne. This cuvée consists of a balanced blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay. The history of Grand Brut dates back to 1846, when the House of Perrier-Jouët created Cuvée K – a historic champagne that marked the beginning of the "Brut" era. With a dosage of less than 5%, the Champagne house dared a revolution at a time when champagne often contained up to 40% sugar.
