The Tomintoul distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands in the Cairngorms National Park and named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, opened its doors in 1964 and is now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers.

At an altitude of 370 meters above sea level, Tomintoul is Scotland's second highest distillery, surpassed only by the Braeval Distillery, founded in 1973. Although most of the 3.2 million liters of alcohol produced annually are exported to the United States for blends, Tomintoul consistently releases special single cask bottlings.

The Tomintoul 14 Years Old White Port Casks Finish, which matures for 14 years in oak casks and then receives a finish in White Port Casks, is characterized by its exceptional maturity and finesse. This bottling, which is neither colored nor chill-filtered, preserves the natural aromas and authentic texture of the whisky.
