The Tomintoul Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands in the Cairngorms National Park and named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, opened its doors in 1964 and is now owned by Angus Dundee Distillers.

At 370 meters above sea level, Tomintoul is Scotland's second-highest distillery, surpassed only by the Braeval Distillery, founded in 1973. Although the majority of the 3.2 million liters of alcohol produced annually are exported to the United States for blends, Tomintoul consistently releases special single cask bottlings.

The Tomintoul Small Batch Cask Finish series is a remarkable no-age-statement series characterized by its unique finish in a variety of casks. This whisky first matures in bourbon casks, where it develops its fundamental aromas. It then receives a special finish in Ximénez Sherry Casks, which impart additional depth and an unmistakable sweetness. This combination creates a complex and harmonious flavor profile that delights connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.
