The Benriach 27 Years Old Cask Edition Pedro Ximénez Vintage 1994 is an exceptionally long-matured single cask bottling from Speyside and forms part of the renowned Benriach Cask Edition. The single malt was distilled in 1994 and originally selected for this edition by La Maison du Whisky. It was matured entirely for over a quarter of a century in a single Pedro Ximénez puncheon, whose intense sherry influence lends the whisky a particularly powerful cask character. After 27 years of maturation, the whisky was bottled at a robust 53.7% in cask strength. It is precisely the combination of great age, long-term maturation in a PX sherry cask and single-cask bottling that makes this Benriach a special release for connoisseurs of intensely matured Speyside single malts.


Particularly noteworthy is the extremely limited production run of the Benriach Vintage 1994 Pedro Ximénez Single Cask. Only 646 bottles were produced from the selected cask, making this a truly strictly limited edition with distinct collector’s appeal. The long maturation in a Pedro Ximénez puncheon results in a remarkably rich profile, centred on dried fruit, dark notes and intense cask spice. The cask-strength bottling at 53.7 per cent preserves the powerful character of the matured whisky. With a vintage of 1994, 27 years’ maturation, single cask, PX puncheon and only 646 bottles produced, this Cask Edition combines several features that make it a truly special Benriach rarity.
