Etsu Double Orange Limited Edition is produced at the Akita Distillery in Akita Prefecture, located on the island of Honshu, Japan. The gin production involves a seven-day maceration with a selection of traditional botanicals, including Japanese bitter orange, juniper berries, liquorice root, angelica, and coriander. After maceration, the gin is distilled, with the solids removed to release the essential oils. Finally, fresh water from the surrounding mountains is added, which gives the gin its fresh taste.
