Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to thrive. After farming their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. The Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now housed in a renovated 17th-century farmhouse situated in Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano and surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

The Prosecco sparkling wine from Bottega’s Il Vino dei Poeti collection is sourced from select vineyards in the province of Treviso. Made exclusively from Glera grapes, these are carefully hand-picked in mid-September and then gently vinified as white wine. The second fermentation takes place using the traditional Charmat method in autoclaves at a controlled temperature of 14–15 °C, which gives the Prosecco its fresh and lively character.
