Casa Dragones has existed since 1671 and was originally the stables of the legendary Dragones cavalry. Today, numerous tequila tastings are held in these historic stables. Casa Dragones was inspired by the Dragones of San Miguel de Allende. This elite cavalry defended the interests of the Spanish Queen and subsequently led the Mexican independence of 1810. Mexican independence is still part of Casa Dragones today – the number "16" is embedded on the labels and the engraving on the bottom of the bottles. The elegant colonial city of San Miguel de Allende is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The production of Casa Dragones Tequila is based on a modern and sustainable method. Casa Dragones Añejo Barrel Blend is a combination of two Añejo varieties. The result is an agave-forward, elegant, and smooth tequila – a true highlight for spirits connoisseurs. This Barrel Blend is 100% distilled from Blue Agave and matures in two different, new, and custom-made barrels: French and American oak barrels. The woods for these custom-made oak barrels were selected in collaboration with one of the most renowned cooperages in France.
