Since its founding in 1793, Oban Distillery's picturesque location and proximity to the harbor in the west of the Scottish Highlands have made it a magnet for new settlers. Oban, meaning "small bay" in Gaelic, has developed into one of the most respected and efficient distilleries despite initial challenges. With only two stills, Oban produces up to 700,000 liters of alcohol annually, making it one of the smallest distilleries in the world, a testament to its excellence and tradition in whisky production.

The 'The Distillers Edition of the Classic Malts Selection' includes single malt whiskies from seven different distilleries in Scotland. All bottlings undergo additional maturation in different casks, chosen by the Master Distiller of the respective distillery.

The Distillers Edition from Oban Distillery receives a second maturation in charred former Montilla Fino casks made of American white oak.
