Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to grow and develop. After farming their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionised grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. The Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now housed in a renovated 17th-century farmhouse situated in Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano and surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

Grappa, one of Italy’s oldest and most traditional drinks, is a pomace spirit produced from the residue of previously pressed grapes. Maestri Grappa, dedicated to the masters of art and culture, is produced using a technique that combines tradition and innovation. This grappa is made from Glera grapes, whose fresh, wine-rich pomace is carefully stored to ensure the highest quality.

After the pomace has been distilled three times in traditional copper stills, the grappa is aged for 12 months in wooden casks, during which time it develops its delicate structure and harmonious aroma.
