The Kilchoman Fino Sherry Cask Matured Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exceptional Limited Edition from the Kilchoman Distillery and represents the distillery's first globally available bottling matured entirely in Fino sherry casks. For this edition, the whisky was aged for its entire maturation period in 12 Fino Sherry Butts, including 11 First Fill Casks and 1 Refill Butt, which were previously used by Bodega Miguel Martin in Spain. This strictly limited bottling was bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added color. This edition is limited to just 10,500 bottles worldwide, giving it a special place within Kilchoman's experimental cask series.


In contrast to the classic Oloroso sherry maturations regularly used in Kilchoman's core range, Fino sherry brings a significantly drier and more saline style. This cask type gives the Kilchoman Fino Sherry Cask Matured a fresh, precise structure and adds new facets to the typical Islay character. Fruity freshness, maritime notes, and the clear smokiness of the distillate come more to the fore without losing depth. This bottling is part of a series of innovative full maturations, where Kilchoman has already experimented with Port, Madeira, Sauternes, red wine, and STR casks. This edition is delivered in a high-quality gift box, making it particularly relevant for collectors.
