The Knockdhu Distillery was founded in 1894 by John Morrison, after he had acquired the Knock estate in 1892 and recognised the region’s potential. The pure water sources on Knock Hill, the abundant supplies of peat and barley, and the connection to the Great Northern Railway made the location ideal for whisky distillation.

AnCnoc Sherry Cask Finish Peated Edition is created from a masterful blend of peated and unpeated distillate from the Knockdhu distillery. After distillation, this Peated Edition is first matured in American oak casks, where the whisky develops its complex foundation. For the finish, it is then transferred to selected sherry casks from Jerez, which lend it its characteristic, delicate notes.

This careful selection of casks and the harmonious blend of the two distillates result in a single malt characterised by impressive depth and complexity.
