John Glaser, an employee of a well-known British distillery, initiated a turning point in the whisky world in 2000.

Together with his team at Compass Box, he created textures and aromas by combining very old single malt and single grain whiskies from renowned Scottish distilleries from their own cask reserves.

The Blended Scotch "Art & Decadence" is based on whiskies up to 22 years old from Sauternes, Marsala, and Madeira casks. This limited edition is inspired by the Decadent movement of the late 19th century and offers opulent aromas of fruit, toffee, vanilla, chocolate, and oak.

The whisky is non-chill filtered, meaning it retains its natural flavors and oils, and it is also not colored, so its color comes exclusively from maturation and the types of casks used.
