The name “Sljivovica” is derived from the Croatian word “Slivja” (= plum) and already reveals a great deal about Croatia’s national drink.

Sljivovica Alter plum brandy is produced according to ancient tradition exclusively from fresh Bistrica plums, which are grown around the capital, Zagreb. Its unique aroma is achieved through double distillation. It is then carefully matured in Slavonian oak casks to develop its distinctive flavour.
