The officer emigrated from Ireland to Cognac and founded the company "Jas Hennessy & Co" at that time. Richard Hennessy's cognac quickly gained a high reputation and became known worldwide.
The grapes used for production are grown in the Cognac region. After double distillation in copper stills, pure Eaux-de-vie is produced, which serves as the basis for the cognacs.
The Hennessy V.S.O.P is a combination of over 60 Eaux-de-vie, achieving a perfect balance and harmony. The designation V.S.O.P means that this Hennessy has particularly high age and quality.
