Description
Description
Ararat Akhtamar 10 Years Old is an Armenian brandy with an alcohol content of 40 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle, and forms part of the ARARAT brand’s long-established range. It is produced by the Yerevan Brandy Company in Armenia, whose history dates back to 1887. For the Akhtamar, selected Armenian brandy distillates are blended together, with the youngest components having been matured for at least ten years in oak casks. The production process is based on Armenian grapes and combines the region’s wine-growing tradition with the company’s many years of experience in distillation, cask maturation and blending. The Ararat Akhtamar takes its name from a well-known Armenian legend about Princess Tamar and the island of Akhtamar in Lake Van.
With its 10-year maturation, the Ararat Akhtamar 10 Years Old is positioned as a premium release within the Ararat range. The long ageing in oak casks ensures a distinctive structure and combines the character of the wine distillates used with the influences of the wood. This 10-year-old Armenian brandy is therefore particularly suited to connoisseurs who appreciate traditional, long-aged wine brandies with a clear provenance and a producer with a rich history.
