Akori Gin Yuzu is a modern, aromatic and fresh gin from Spain, produced by the family-run Distillerías Campeny. Despite its Far Eastern name, it is not a Japanese gin, but rather a gin produced in Spain, whose style is clearly inspired by Japanese flavours. The base is a rice spirit, which is macerated together with juniper and the distinctive yuzu citrus before being distilled. Yuzu is one of Japan’s most prized fruits and has a particularly pronounced influence on the profile of this gin with its intense, fresh citrus notes. Bottled at 40 per cent by volume and crystal-clear in appearance, this gin offers a balanced blend of juniper, citrus freshness and exotic aromas. Its clean, modern structure sets it apart stylistically from classic London Dry Gins and emphasises its Japanese-inspired elegance.
