The Belizean Blue Rare Blend is a product of Travellers Distillery, located in Central American Belize. The distillery's origins can be traced back to a bar in Belize City known as Travellers. The bar's founder, Don Omario, began producing his own rum blends, which he sold in his bar.

Due to the great success of these blends, Don Omario eventually founded Travellers Liquors Ltd. The distillery places great emphasis on using locally grown, fairly produced sugarcane. The molasses obtained from this sugarcane is crucial for the authentic taste of the rum, which is characteristic of this region. The rums in the Signature Blend mature for up to seven years and are bottled without the addition of sugar or colorants.

The Belizean Blue Rare Blend is a compilation of various rum varieties that mature in Belize for an average of nine years. The blend also includes components that have been stored for up to 17 years under tropical conditions.
