The 2021 reissue of Trinidad Rum was characterized by a slightly bitter aftertaste due to unexpected alcohol loss during the maturation process.
Trinidad and Tobago, known for its historical significance in the Caribbean as a land of sprinters, pirates, and explorers, continues its discreet presence in the latest edition of rum. This rum is distinguished by its restrained and assertive character, reminiscent of whiskey, supported by a base of chlorophyll and molasses, which allows for a later development of flavors.
Flavor-wise, the rum reveals nuances of undergrowth and an antiquated aroma, reminiscent of the interior of Romanesque churches or the first pages of an old liturgical book. These aromas transition into a distinct vanilla flavor.
