The Frescobaldis are a prominent Florentine family that has been based in Tuscany for over 1000 years, dedicated to producing outstanding Tuscan wines. Their influence grew significantly during the time of the Florentine Republic, when banking flourished in the city and the family was involved in many areas. They played a major role in the construction of important buildings, including the Santa Trinita Bridge and the Santo Spirito Basilica.

Frescobaldi, located in the Montalcino region, southwest of the medieval city, produces some of the best Italian wines. These wines are made from Merlot and Sangiovese grape varieties. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a 10-day fermentation followed by a 20-day maceration on the grape skins. The wines then undergo malolactic fermentation and mature for 12 months in barriques to develop their unique character.
