The origins of gin date back to the Netherlands and are closely associated with the physician and physicist Franciscus de la Boe, who researched the effects of essential oils from juniper. From there, gin made its way to Great Britain and quickly developed into one of Europe's most influential spirits categories. With BACÛR Gin, the renowned house of Bottega takes up this tradition and reinterprets it with a clear Mediterranean signature.


This Italian gin is produced in Veneto, using pure alpine water and exclusively botanicals of Italian origin. Tuscan juniper berries, sage leaves from Triveneto, and lemon zests from Sicily are each macerated separately in water and alcohol for an extended period. This is followed by a careful double distillation, which removes unwanted secondary notes and creates a particularly clear, elegant distillate. The characteristic style of this dry gin is based not only on the selection of botanicals but also on the precise conditions under which the aromatic components are extracted.
