The Tamnavulin Distillery, founded in 1966 in the picturesque village of Tomnavoulin in Scotland, has a eventful history. After closing its doors in 1995, the distillery was reopened in 2007 after extensive renovation and has since produced outstanding single malt whisky that embodies the authentic Speyside character. The name "Tamnavulin" derives from Gaelic and means "mill on the hill," a tribute to the historic mill that once stood on the distillery's site.

The latest bottling, the Red Wine Cask Edition, impresses with a special maturation in French red wine casks that previously held Cabernet Sauvignon. This special maturation gives the whisky a rich palette of aromas, including sweet red berries, juicy plums, and spicy cinnamon.
