A French single malt from a cognac house? That’s right: Arlett is a range of whiskies developed by the Tessendier family, who, in addition to the renowned Cognac Park brand, are also responsible for Saison Rum.

Thanks to their decades of expertise in brandy production, the Tessendier distillery has created three single malts which, despite their youth, impress with a remarkably smooth texture and a surprisingly complex array of flavours for young whiskies. The distinctive smoothness on the palate is achieved through gradual dilution to drinking strength, a process that begins during maturation and gives the Arlett products their unique mouthfeel.

The peated Arlett Whisky, the only whisky in the range characterised by its distinctive smoky profile, is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks over a period of three years. These casks, which were previously used to mature bourbon, lend the whisky additional depth, whilst the peaty smoke remains present throughout the entire maturation period, giving the whisky its characteristic, smoky aroma.
