The Isle of Raasay Distillery is the first legal distillery on the picturesque Isle of Raasay, known for its breathtaking landscape and rich history. The Rye Finish Single Malt Whisky, a special highlight of the distillery, matures in carefully selected American ex-rye whiskey casks from the renowned Woodford Reserve Distillery in Kentucky. This maturation in ex-rye casks gives the whisky complex, spicy notes that set it apart from other Scottish whiskies.
Furthermore, the whisky is bottled in its most natural form, without added coloring and without chill-filtration, thus preserving its purity and quality. This gentle production process allows the whisky to develop a deep, full-bodied aroma that optimally showcases the influences of the casks and reflects the unique craftsmanship of the Isle of Raasay Distillery.
