Every single ingredient comes from the surrounding area and is sourced no more than an hour's drive away.

Solera is a traditional method used by the Spanish to age and maintain the consistency of their sherry. A fraction of each young cask is blended with more mature spirit. It is the inspiration for the Solera Single Malt. And it means that every bottle produced today still contains a hint of one of Starward's first casks. Apera casks from McWilliams Winery are used for maturation; Apera is an Australian fortified wine, similar to sherry.
