The Concerto and Propino barley varieties used thrive in the fields of renowned farms such as Coull, Rockside, Island, Mulindry, Cruach, Dunlossit, Craigens, and Sunderland Farms. This whisky is produced without peat, which sets it apart from many other Islay whiskies.

The Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014 was distilled and matured for eight years in a combination of first-fill Bourbon casks (80%) and a blend of second-fill Sherry butts (5%) and second-fill wine casks (15%). This specific maturation imparts the whisky with its unique complexity and depth.
