Description
Description
For over 600 years, the Antinori family has been dedicated to wine production, beginning with Giovanni di Piero Antinori's enrollment in the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. This tradition, spanning 26 generations, has always been directly managed by the family, characterized by innovative decisions while maintaining respect for tradition and origin.
Marchesi Antinori Solaia is an exclusive blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc, with grapes thriving on calcareous soils. Even during manual harvesting, the utmost care was taken to select perfect grapes to ensure the wine's quality. Fermentation of all three grape varieties took place at controlled temperatures between 27° and a maximum of 31°, to preserve the freshness, aroma, and character of the fruit.
After alcoholic fermentation and racking of the must, the individual wines were transferred to new oak barriques, where they initially developed separately. This was followed by blending, then a maturation period of approximately 12 months in the barriques. After this careful maturation, the Solaia is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
With an impressive aging potential until 2036, the Solaia offers an elegant drinking experience characterized by depth, finesse, and exceptional quality.
