The Bushmills Distillery, located in the picturesque County Antrim in Northern Ireland, is the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery. Its origins date back to 1608 when Sir Thomas Phillips received the first license to distill whiskey in the region. Bushmills 21 Year Old is an exceptional creation, resulting from the marriage of single malts that first mature for 19 years in carefully selected Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon casks. The whiskey is then refined for another two years in Madeira casks. This long maturation period allows the whiskey to develop intense aromas of ripe fruits, which acquire a special note from the Madeira casks.
