After a few summer nights enjoying gin and tonics, a young couple from Austria made their dream a reality and produced their own gin. The distillation takes place in a wood-fired copper still that has been operated for generations. An encounter with a supposedly blue snake led to the idea of creating something mysterious – a natural color change in the gin.

Munakra Handcrafted Vienna Contemporary Gin Black is an extraordinary gin based on a mysterious recipe and made exclusively with 100% natural, black botanicals. Key ingredients include black currants, elderberries, black tea, black mallow blossoms, tonka beans, and black goji berries. The recipe is complemented by ten secret ingredients, guarded by an alchemist, which give this gin its fruity-fresh character.

Handcrafted in small batches and created under the rooftops of Austria's capital, Munakra Gin Black impresses with its unique mystical, violet color, reflecting the magic of the dark botanicals. A special highlight of the gin is its magical transformation: upon contact with tonic water or acidic beverages, its color changes and glows in a vibrant red. The color is 100% natural and is created by the infusion of coloring foodstuffs, which give the gin its unique character.
