The Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2022 is a living legend – an iconic Super Tuscan that has been considered one of Italy's greatest red wines worldwide for decades. As the only wine with its own DOC – the Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC – it stands for uncompromising quality, depth, and elegance. It comes exclusively from the famous Tenuta San Guido winery, which established an entirely new understanding of quality in Tuscany with Sassicaia in the 1960s.

The 2022 vintage presents itself as expressive and structured with exceptional aging potential. As usual, the cuvée consists of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. The vines grow on gravelly soils – hence the name "Sassicaia" ("stony field") – in the hills near Bolgheri, just a few kilometers from the Tyrrhenian Sea. After harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging for around 25 months in French barriques (partially new, partially second-use), and then bottle aging.
