In 1975, Gérard Bertrand began his grape harvest at Château de Villemajou in the Corbières, discovering his passion for wine there. For over twelve years, he honed his skills alongside his father, Georges Bertrand, until the fourth generation eventually continued the legacy. After his father's tragic death in 1987, Gérard Bertrand took over the family management of Domaine de Villemajou and founded the Gérard Bertrand wine company. The Gérard Bertrand Group comprises 16 wineries and 16 châteaux along the Mediterranean coast of France, spanning a total of 850 hectares. A portion of the hand-harvested grapes matures in 225-liter Bordeaux barrels, while the other portion is stored in stainless steel tanks.

The Côte des Roses, an homage to the Mediterranean lifestyle, originates from the renowned Gérard Bertrand winery in the Languedoc region, along the Mediterranean coast to the Spanish border. The area benefits from a semi-dry Mediterranean climate, creating ideal conditions for viticulture. The bottle design, created by a young designer from the French College École Boulle, features a bottle base in the shape of a rose blossom.

The grapes for Gérard Bertrand Sauvignon Blanc are precisely harvested to preserve all the wonderful aromas that characterize it. Its unmistakable bouquet of citrus fruits, minerality, and French oak gives it its unique character. The wine is aged in both stainless steel tanks and large wooden barrels. This wine has an aging potential of about 10 years and is sealed with a glass stopper to preserve its quality and freshness.
