The Salzl Cabernet Franc Premium 2020 is a majestic red wine from Burgenland's Seewinkel region and is undoubtedly one of Austria's great character wines. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, this premium wine displays perfect balance between power, elegance, and terroir expression. The vines thrive on Chernozem soils, consisting of loamy sand with a high gravel content – a soil structure that ensures optimal drainage and deep rooting, lending the wine its distinctive minerality.

Vinification follows traditional methods: 18 days of skin contact, alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at 30°C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The subsequent 24 months of aging in small oak barrels – 100% new wood – gives the wine depth, density, and noble aging aromas. With 14% alcohol by volume, an opulent structure, and at the same time fine elegance, the Cabernet Franc has enormous potential – ready to drink from 2024, with aging potential until at least 2040 under optimal storage conditions.
