The Gesellmann Blaufränkisch Creitzer Reserve Mittelburgenland DAC 2022 14% Vol. 0.75 L is a wine with a strong character from the heart of Mittelburgenland, a region renowned worldwide for its powerful and elegant Blaufränkisch wines. For generations, the Gesellmann winery has been a flagship of Austrian viticulture, synonymous with the highest quality, handcrafted excellence, and true expression of terroir.


The vines that produce this wine are between 20 and 66 years old, yielding small, highly concentrated grapes. These are carefully hand-picked and harvested between early and mid-October. The traditional mash fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, with the cap being submerged 2 to 4 times daily to achieve maximum color and aroma extraction. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and then matures for 20 months in used small oak barrels, gaining additional structure, finesse, and depth. Bottling took place in October 2024. With optimal storage, this wine is ready to drink until at least 2034, making it an excellent choice for collectors.
