Since 1780, the name Jameson has stood for mild, harmonious Irish Whiskey – the Black Barrel clearly distinguishes itself from the original through its special cask management.


Like all Jameson qualities, the whiskey is triple distilled, which gives it its exceptional smoothness. The special feature, however, lies in its maturation: a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and sherry barrels is used, with the bourbon barrels being double-charred ("Black Barrels"). This process intensifies the aromas of vanilla, caramel, and toasted wood, giving the whiskey a rich complexity. Bottled at 40% Vol., the Black Barrel is balanced, full-bodied, yet typically smooth in character.
