The Netzl Gelber Muskateller MUSKATINA 2024 is a particularly aromatic white wine from controlled organic cultivation, combining tradition, terroir, and personality in one wine. The name "Muskatina" is a playful blend of Christina and Muskateller, as Christina discovered her love for wine through this special grape variety. The grapes come from the best sites on the Schüttenberg plateau, surrounded by the Maria Ellend forest, on dry, barren gravel soils and gravelly loess. These soils store heat during the day and cool down quickly at night, providing ideal conditions for the grapes to develop an intense aroma. The warmer sites of Haidacker and Hagelsberg supply the riper grapes and bring the juicy Muscat fruit into the MUSKATINA.


The harvest took place on September 14, 2023, by selective hand-picking into large bins, followed by whole-cluster and single-berry selection. Maceration times varied between eight hours and overnight. The temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 18 °C lasted 14 days, followed by a four-week resting period on the lees and another four months of aging on fine lees. This gentle maturation preserves the wine's freshness, clarity, and vibrant aromatics. With 12% Vol., the MUSKATINA Bio presents itself as dry, elegant, and approachable – a wine for connoisseurs who appreciate naturalness and authenticity.
