The Aberlour Casg Annamh Batch 011 is matured using the Triple Cask Maturation process. This primarily involves European oak casks that previously held sherry. These are complemented by American ex-bourbon casks and new American oak casks, which lend the whisky additional vanilla and woody notes. The single malt is bottled at a robust 48% ABV, without chill filtration (non-chill filtered) and without the addition of colouring, thereby preserving its natural colour and full spectrum of aromas. Compared to earlier batches, Batch 011 is particularly well-balanced and less sweet, whilst intense fruit aromas, subtle spices and elegant oak notes harmonise perfectly with one another.
