The Hannes Reeh Heideboden Cuvée Red 2021 is a powerful yet elegantly structured Austrian red wine from Burgenland, impressively reflecting the unique terroir of the Heideboden in Seewinkel. The cuvée consists of 60% Zweigelt, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Merlot – a combination that unites regional typicality with international style. The vines grow on gravelly soil with a sand content, which ensures excellent drainage and minerality. Due to the warm, Pannonian climate with cool nights, the grapes develop intense aromas and a precise structure.


The grapes are hand-picked before undergoing spontaneous fermentation, which gives the cuvée its natural authenticity. After about four weeks of maceration, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques, giving it both freshness, depth, and complexity. Equipped with a screw cap, it preserves its aromatic purity and drinking pleasure for years. Its aging potential extends until 2033, which underlines its exceptional substance and stability.
