The Poliziano Rosso di Montepulciano DOC 2024 is based on a classic cuvée of 80% Sangiovese – traditionally called Prugnolo Gentile in Montepulciano – and 20% Merlot. The grapes come from organic farming and grow on galestro-rich clay soils, which significantly contribute to the region-typical structure. The wine is aged in both stainless steel tanks and barriques, with the aging period deliberately kept short to preserve the youthful freshness of the Sangiovese. The 2024 vintage is vegan, filtered, and sealed with natural corks; the recommended drinking temperature is 16–18 °C, and it can be aged until 2030. As a stylistic introduction to the world of Vino Nobile, this Rosso displays the characteristic clarity and straightforwardness that distinguishes the Poliziano winery, combining tradition with modern precision.
