The Samai Premium Gold Rum is the first and iconic bottling from the Samai Distillery in Cambodia and is considered a benchmark for high-quality craft rum from Southeast Asia. Made from rich Cambodian sugarcane molasses, this rum reflects the local terroir with remarkable clarity. A delicate addition of local organic honey enhances the natural intensity of the molasses and lends the distillate a distinctive, elegant sweetness. Distillation traditionally takes place in copper pot stills, which promotes depth, texture, and aromatic precision.


Aging for two to four years occurs in a carefully curated selection of French and American oak barrels, supplemented by ex-bourbon barrels and sherry casks. This barrel management creates a balance between wood, sweetness, and spice, emphasizing a complex yet accessible style.
