The Hillinger Blaufränkisch 2024 is an exemplary modern Blaufränkisch from Burgenland, combining origin, varietal typicity, and contemporary winemaking to create a clearly structured Austrian red wine. The Hillinger winery is known for its consistent quality philosophy and focus on sustainable cultivation. This vintage comes from organic farming and authentically reflects the true character of the grape variety. The wine is vinified dry, which clearly emphasizes freshness, spice, and fruit. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, the wine is balanced and approachable, without losing depth, and is ideal for uncomplicated enjoyment as well as for accompanying meals.


Maceration fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks to precisely highlight fruit and varietal typicity. Subsequently, approximately one-third of the wine matured for 12 months in used wooden barrels, which provides structure and depth without overshadowing the fruit-driven style. The aging potential of 2 to 4 years underscores the solid construction of this Blaufränkisch, which gains expression both young with freshness and with a little maturity. A drinking temperature of 12 to 14 °C is recommended, with the wine presenting itself particularly invigorating and clear at a serving temperature of around 12 °C.
