A hallmark of the Auchentoshan distillery is its rare triple distillation process, which gives this Scotch whisky an exceptionally smooth texture. The name ‘Three Wood’ refers to the three-stage maturation process: first, the whisky is aged for around 10 years in ex-bourbon casks, then for about 2 years in Oloroso sherry casks, and finally for around 6 months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. This combination creates a multi-layered balance of fruit, sweetness and spice, making this Lowland whisky a particularly accessible bottling for both newcomers and experienced connoisseurs. It is bottled at 43 per cent, contains colouring and comes in a high-quality gift box.
