The Pfneisl Shiraz MARIA’S VINEYARD 2022 is an expressive Austrian quality red wine from Mittelburgenland, impressively reflecting the winery's long-standing passion for the Shiraz grape variety. Produced by the renowned Pfneisl winery, this wine originates from the Satz and Höblisch vineyards in the old Deutschkreutzer Weingebirge. The history of this wine is closely linked to the family, as the Shiraz vines were planted on Grandma Maria's inherited land, to whom this special bottling is dedicated. The climatic conditions of Burgenland and the meticulous management of the vineyards lay the foundation for a powerful yet elegant Shiraz with clear origins.


The Pfneisl Shiraz MARIA’S VINEYARD is vinified dry and aged for 18 months in barriques, which creates depth, spice, and structure. With an alcohol content of 14.5%, the 2022 vintage presents itself powerfully, juicy, and harmoniously balanced. The style combines ripe fruit with fine spice, mineral tension, and a very long-lasting finish. Bottled with natural cork, this Austrian Shiraz still appears slightly closed and promises good aging potential, which will further enhance its complexity in the coming years.
