Bottled by the independent bottler Hunter Laing, the Scarabus brand stands for mysterious origins, traditional craftsmanship and an authentic take on the classic Islay whisky style. The name ‘Scarabus’ comes from Old Norse and roughly translates as ‘rocky place’, which aptly reflects the wild landscape and character of this whisky.


This 15-year-old single malt whisky is matured in selected ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a clear, structured bouquet. The focus is on the combination of maritime peat smoke, salty notes and subtle sweetness, which gains additional depth through the long maturation. Bottled at 46 per cent, without chill filtration or colouring, the original character of this Islay single malt is fully preserved.
