The Inchdairnie KinGlassie 8 Years Old Double Matured Fife Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the innovative InchDairnie Distillery and exemplifies a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Scottish whisky production. The Fife-based distillery takes a holistic approach from grain cultivation to bottling, consistently focusing on regional raw materials and modern production methods. The goal is to produce Single Malt Scotch Whisky with clear provenance, technical precision, and exceptional depth. The KinGlassie is a heavily peated Fife Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled for only two weeks a year in winter. Exclusively Fife barley malt is used, which is malted with mainland peat to over 50 ppm. The maturation as a Double Matured whisky takes place over a total of eight years in the distillery's warehouses. Initially, the whisky matures for five years in ex-Bourbon casks made of American oak before being transferred to Amontillado Sherry casks for a further three years. Bottled at 46.3%, non-chill filtered and without added coloring, this bottling preserves its full texture and cask structure, standing for uncompromising quality with a clear signature.
