The Hillinger Hill Side Red 2018 13% Vol. 6 l is an expressive red wine cuvée from Burgenland, combining the characteristic interplay of several grape varieties into a powerful yet elegant Austrian red wine. Produced by the renowned winery Leo Hillinger, this cuvée red wine blends the spiciness of Syrah, the fruity structure of Zweigelt, and the power of Merlot into a harmonious composition. The blend consists of 60% Syrah, 30% Zweigelt, and 10% Merlot, creating a complex Burgenland red wine with an international character.


Vinification involves mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months of maturation in barriques, with approximately one third in new and two thirds in used oak barrels. This is followed by 6 months of bottle aging, which lends the wine additional harmony and structure. With 13% Vol. alcohol, this cuvée red wine from Austria presents itself as powerful and balanced. The impressive 6-liter Methuselah bottle makes this Hillinger red wine a special eye-catcher at festive occasions or in sophisticated wine collections.
