The Douglas Laing Scallywag Cognac Cask The Winter Edition 2026 is a limited-edition Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Remarkable Regional Malts range by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. Scallywag is blended exclusively from selected single malt whiskies from Speyside. The Winter Edition 2026 is a special release within the range, as this is the first time Scallywag has undergone an additional finish in hand-selected Cognac casks. As a result, the fruity, spicy Speyside style characteristic of Scallywag is complemented by additional influences from the French cask maturation. The 2026 edition is also the second release in the relaunched Winter Edition series.

The Scallywag Winter Edition 2026 is bottled at a robust 54.2 per cent, at natural cask strength. Furthermore, the whisky is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. Only 5,100 bottles of this limited edition are available worldwide. The combination of Speyside malts, robust cask strength and a cognac cask finish sets this edition apart from the classic Scallywag and makes it particularly appealing to collectors of the Remarkable Regional Malts. The 0.7-litre bottle is presented in a matching gift box and combines the brand’s familiar fox terrier motif with a special release designed specifically for the winter season.
