Fusetti Bitter is an Italian bitter aperitif that combines a classic herbal recipe with a modern, versatile style. The aromatic heart of the blend consists of gentian, rhubarb and cinchona bark, which give the bitter its complex herbal base. Quassia plays a special role; this plant, known for its pronounced bitterness, is largely responsible for Fusetti’s characteristic tart flavour. Bitter orange and chinotto provide a balancing, tart and fruity note. This deliberate interplay creates a harmonious blend of bitter, floral, fruity and citrus components, whilst the distinctive bitter note always remains the focal point.

With an alcohol content of 25 per cent and a generous 1-litre bottle, Fusetti Bitter has been developed specifically with versatile use in the bar in mind. Its distinctly pronounced flavour profile makes it an interesting base for traditional Italian aperitif classics as well as for modern cocktail creations. Fusetti is produced by Vita S.r.l. in Cassinetta di Lugagnano, near Milan. Whether for a Negroni, an Americano, bespoke signature drinks or simply enjoying it over ice, the recipe has been deliberately designed to be versatile. The combination of gentian, rhubarb, cinchona bark, quassia, bitter orange and chinotto gives Fusetti a distinctive character and makes it a modern alternative within the Italian bitter category.
